About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Backend Developer to join our growing team at Tapza Technologies. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that power our products. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and committed to writing clean, efficient code.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate complex problem statements into well-defined, actionable development tasks.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services using NodeJS, NestJS and TypeScript.
• Design and manage MongoDB schemas and ensure data integrity.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend applications (React) and other microservices.
• Ensure data consistency, versioning, and scalability across distributed systems.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, with regular participation in code reviews.
• Implement authentication, role-based permissions, and basic application security measures.
• Integrate AI-based services and manage event-driven triggers.
• Collaborate closely with Frontend and DevOps teams for smooth deployments and data flow management.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to interns and junior developers.
Required Technical Skills
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and NestJS.
• Proficiency in designing and managing MongoDB collections for large-scale data systems.
• Solid understanding of REST API design, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Experience with Redis, message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka), and Docker.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest) and version control (Git).
Preferred / Bonus Skills
• Knowledge of CQRS, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), or experience in healthcare, inventory, or ERP systems.
• Exposure to scalable distributed systems and cloud-based deployments.
