Revent Capital
Revent is an early-stage venture firm backing Europe’s most talented founders building companies that truly matter. We focus on the founders who don’t just want to build a unicorn – they want to leave a legacy, to improve our collective future. As a firm, we work relentlessly hard to earn the right to partner with outlier individuals.
We’ve invested in companies such as Avelios Medical (Sequoia subsequently led their Series A), Tem Energy (Series A led by Atomico), and several yet-unannounced rounds with Tier 1 funds, and are currently deploying a fresh €110M fund. With this new fund, we will invest in 35 ultra-early-stage companies all pushing the boundaries in AI, software, and frontier tech.
Tasks
We’re hiring an Analyst or Associate (seniority dependent) to join us full-time as soon as possible as a core member of the investment team.
We deliberately keep our investment team small to sprint faster on opportunities, so this is a rare opportunity to join us on a full-time basis.
Your job description is simple: contribute meaningfully to making Revent an obvious choice for exceptional founders building companies that matter. The day-to-day is incredibly diverse, and will call on your IQ, EQ, ingenuity, hustle, creativity, energy and ambition on a regular basis. In a given week, you might:
-
Use your network, tech (that you’ve perhaps developed), research and creativity to find outlier founders at the start of their journey and push these opportunities through to a potential investment.
-
Figure out exactly what a founder might need and provide that thing – to win a deal, to support our portfolio, or simply to build valuable relationships for the future.
-
Go deep on a topic and come back with a compelling investment thesis to guide us.
-
Use your bias toward action to build new valuable dimensions of Revent as a firm, from building out our offer for ideating founders to putting together the kind of dinner series your operator friends dream about to some idea we haven’t even yet dreamed of.
Our team is small and we work closely together. As such, you’ll have exposure to all parts of the investment process as well as fund operations, research, community and firm building.
Requirements
We look for high IQ, high EQ, low ego all-around contributors with a winner’s spirit, high standards, and relentless curiosity.
We care much more about your core attributes, attitude and trajectory than your CV. As we’re not excessively relying on your past experience, the bar for these attributes is extremely high.
We’re looking for people who have genuine streaks of brilliance in some way alongside good overall “Swiss Army” skills. Brilliance could look like: an exceptional ability to see patterns where others cannot, true technical prowess, an encyclopedic knowledge of something relevant, extraordinary EQ, or herculean energy levels. Alongside this streak of brilliance, we search for people who demonstrate:
-
Curiosity and clarity of thought. You love to learn, to understand the underlying why, and can articulate ideas, implications, hypotheses and a point of view with incisiveness.
-
An immense drive and desire to win – venture is competitive, we are looking for people who love to compete. You get energy from a good challenge, lean forward into hard work, and really love winning.
-
A builder’s spirit. We see ourselves as a startup too – very early in our journey with some initial wins and yet much to prove. We look for people with a high degree of agency who are genuinely excited to roll up their sleeves and work with a team to co-create an exceptional firm.
-
A passion to create a better world. Revent invests in companies that can become massive by virtue of solving real problems for humanity. We’re a mission-driven team and only want to work with people who share our commitment to invest in companies that will become both big and important.
-
Excellence. We have a high bar and are constantly striving to get better. We look for people who are dedicated to doing things extremely well and to constantly improving.
Practicalities:
- We’re open to hiring an Analyst or an Associate. Generally speaking, Associates have a few years of work experience whereas Analysts tend to have limited work experience beyond internships. We’d discuss the right fit with you during the process.
- We plan to onboard someone as soon as possible, latest by February 2026.
- We see this position as likely a 2- to 3-year-long opportunity to learn, develop, and contribute meaningfully to Revent and to the next generation of big and important portfolio companies. After this, you will most likely move on to build your own venture, move to another firm in a senior role, or, when it’s a great trajectory and mutual fit, continue the journey with us.
- The first 6 months of the role are based in Berlin so that you can learn via osmosis and be close to the partnership. After that, we will discuss and agree together whether it makes sense for you to stay in Berlin, or to move to another European city where we’re trying to build out more presence / network.
- We are not sponsoring working visas, meaning you must already have the right to work full-time in Germany.
- Compensation is between €50,000 – €75,000 annually depending on experience, plus an annual performance-based bonus, plus a carried interest component whose value will depend on firm performance but can be a significant part of compensation.
How to Apply:
The application process will remain open until December 10th, 2025. That said, we review applications on a rolling basis and so there is an advantage to applying earlier.
After submitting the application form, if applicable, you will recieve a link to a video task. After this, we will get in touch with you within two weeks if we’d like to move forward with your application. From there, the process consists of several interviews with the investment team, a case study, and time together in person to ensure mutual fit.
