Bellatrix Aerospace hiring mechanical Engineer 2021:
- B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline required.
- Â Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency using 3D mechanical design and analysis tools (CATIA, NX CAD, ANSYS and similar tools).
- Experience of working on manufacturing in previous roles is a big plus
- The candidate will be responsible for research and development activities to ensure appropriate development of new components and product related to inspace propulsion systems and qualify the components to operate in space.
- Modelling and design of mechanical components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, heat sinks, insulation systems, magnetic components, high & low voltage connectors, fasteners, and other components.
- Mechanical design analysis including thermal, CFD, structural, design for assembly, and design for test.
- All design work is carried out to the required standards of accuracy with specific regard to the Quality Assurance, Design Guides and Practice Notes and appropriate statutory regulations and codes of practice.
- Candidate constantly seeks to adopt the most up to date practices and to be innovative in their application. The candidate ensures that they are fully conversant with the relevant aspects of the design of the Project under their control and co-ordinates this work to the required standard.
- Develop engineering test plans for designs. Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies. Validate components as per defined engineering requirements. Conduct Fault Tree analysis and come up with solutions.
- Deep understanding of material science of components used in mechanical design (metals, insulators, plastics, connectors, gaskets, thermal interface materials, potting, etc.).
- Evaluate laboratory safety procedures to ensure compliance with standards or to make improvements as needed.
- Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner by developing alternative solutions.
- Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals.
- Candidate should provide training and support to graduates and new staff.
- Perform other functions as required or assigned.
- Complies with all company policies and standards.
