Indian Navy Recruitment 2021:The Indian Navy invites unmarried eligible men & women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC)/Scientific Assistant for course commencing Jun 2021 onwards at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala in under Technical/Executive/education branches/entries in the Indian Navy. Candidates who  completed B.E/B.Tech/MBA/B.Sc/M.Sc/B.Com are eligible to apply for this job. The selection will be based on the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) and Interview. Eligible candidates can apply online at (www.joinindiannavy.gov.in) website from 18 December to 15 January 2021.

About Indian Navy:

The Indian Navy is the Naval Branch of the Indian Armed Forces under the supreme commander called President of India. The Merchant Marine is the sister service of the Indian Navy to safeguard the nations. The Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the father of the Indian Navy. He started the Maratha Empire in 1674 after that it established the naval force called Indian Navy. The First Squadron of fighting ships called East India Company’s marine arrived on 5 September 1612. The primary objective of the Indian navy is to identify the threat or any other issues in and from the sea. Indian Navy has 67,228 personnel, 137 ships and 235 aircraft at present.

  • B.Sc degree in Physics or Chemistry or Electronics or Oceanography with two years experience in Material (metal, metal alloys, rubber) analysis and testing techniques OR
  • Machinery noise and vibration movements; analysis and reduction techniques OR
  • Chemical analysis of oils, lubricants, electrolyte and water, etc. OR
  • Study and analysis of corrosion process and mitigation techniques.

 Selection Process:(No Exam) Shortlisting for SSB.
  • Shortlisting of application will be based on preference of entries and normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree. Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae mentioned in Join Indian Navy website
  • For candidates who have completed MCA, MBA, M.Sc, B.Sc and B.Com marks obtained in all semesters will be considered. In all others cases, marks obtained by candidates in all semesters till pre-final year will be considered. Candidates selected in the final merit list will be required to submit the proof of the completing the qualifying degree with minimum 60% of marks. Candidates failing to meet the criteria will not be permitted to join the Academy.
  • No communication will be entertained in this regard.
  • Approximately 8300 candidates [ie approximately 40 candidates per vacancy per entry, except for SSC (Pilot)] will be shortlisted for SSB. Their SSB interviews will be tentatively scheduled from Feb 21 onwards at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Visakhapatnam / Kolkata. SSB for Pilot & Observer entry will be conducted at SSB Bangalore only.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail or SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/mobile number till selection process is over.
