Role : Full Stack Developer – Node.js and React

Location: On-site, Woodlawn, MD (5 days/week) (Onsite interview in Baltimore, MD)

Education/Experience: Master”s 5 yrs, Bachelor”s 7 yrs, or 13 yrs in lieu of degree

Key Required Skills: Senior full-stack Node.js/React.js; strong UI framework and backend architecture knowledge; JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Express.js); RESTful web services with Node.js

Position Description

· Architect, design, code, and implement a next-gen web application using Node.js, React/Redux SPA front-end, Node.js API framework (RESTful APIs, Express, Knex), and DevOps tools (Jenkins, Red Hat OpenShift, Docker, SonarQube, UrbanCode)

· Provide expertise in SPA modular UIs, secure RESTful API microservices, UX/accessibility (Section 508/WCAG/USDS standards)

· Investigate and repair defects across front-end, business logic, middleware, or database (PL/SQL, data modeling)

· Brief management, customers, teams, or vendors at the appropriate technical level

· Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

· 10 years of experience in modern software development (design, build, deploy, run applications)

· Combined experience with Node, React, Redux, Mobx, Flux, TypeScript, Bootstrap

Required Skills

· Extensive senior-level full-stack development with Node.js and React.js; strong understanding of UI frameworks, backend architecture patterns, node modules

· Strong experience with React.js, Express.js, Redux/Flux.js

· Strong RESTful web service development with Node.js

· Scrum/Kanban Agile process knowledge, TDD, BDD, ceremonies (planning, backlog grooming, retros, demos)

· Complex programming, debugging, data analysis, and issue resolution within open-source applications

· Strong communication skills; ability to translate technical detail for non-technical stakeholders

· Accountability for code quality across design, development, and testing

· Expertise in complex SQL queries and query optimization in PostgreSQL

· Experience on large teams, managing merge conflicts, upstream/downstream dependencies

· Ability to mentor others on Node.js and React

Desired Skills

· HTML/CSS creation and manipulation

· Other JS frameworks: Express, Restify, Hapi, Sails, JOI, Moment, Axios, Knex

· Agility ALM tool experience

· Jenkins and CI experience

· PostgreSQL and search tools like SOLR

· Standards/protocols: XML, XSLT, WSDL, JSON
