The Opportunity Nutanix Clusters Nutanix Clusters provides a single platform that can span private and public clouds but operates as a single cloud using Prism Central enabling true hybrid cloud architecture.Using the same platform on both clouds, Nutanix Clusters reduces the operational complexity of extending, bursting, or migrating your applications and data between clouds. Because Nutanix Clusters runs Nutanix AOS and AHV with the same CLI, UI, and APIs, existing IT processes or third-party integrations that work on-premises continue to work regardless of where they are running. Your Role Design and develop cloud native software services and infrastructure for a converged computing, storage platform on the cloud. Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements. Work on performance, scale out and resiliency of distributed applications. Work closely with development, test and product management teams to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment. Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues. What you’ll bring Experience in designing, building and supporting large scale distributed systems software and fault tolerant services. Excellent understanding of low level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, concurrency, memory management, networking and storage, performance and scale. Strong systems programming skills Strong CS fundamentals including high performance data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems. Love of programming and rock-solid in one or more languages Go, C , Python ideally for enterprise-quality software. Development experience in distributed systems management, Cloud native services, and orchestration engines. Experience with Linux OS internals, networking internals, software-defined networking technologies. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Envoy, Istio, a plus. Optional Familiarity with any popular cloud platforms such as AWS/GCP and cloud architecture (multi-tenancy, IAM, components and abstractions, object store fundamentals, REST API development) preferred Bachelors/Masters (required), or PhD (preferred) in Computer Science Exp 1 year. — Nutanix is an equal opportunity employer.
