Member of Technical Staff – QA Automation [1-3 Years],Nutanix

Hungry, Humble, Honest, with a Heart.The Opportunity:The Nutanix Core Security engineering team focuses on building secure hybrid cloud platforms. This team is responsible for developing customer facing security functionalities and core platform security services. We own multiple areas that help to improve product security postures and values on AOS (NCI) and Security Central (SC) Platforms. It has been great working closely with both internal X-functional teams and external solution partners in solving complex product security issues. We work closely with PM team to align our security features with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.Your role:As a QA , you are capable of understanding end-to-end designs that span multiple groups and disciplines. You will be responsible for handling the QA and automation functions of the team, including:- Working with project teams to ensure that quality testing and automation are part of the design process. This collaboration will include multiple cross functional teams e.g., PM, UX, System Test, Documentation and other relevant Engineering groups while working on a feature from its inception to release.- Creating test plans and procedures that can be automated and provide test coverage.- Working with a team of 2-3 QA engineers.- Work with management to define best practices and improvements in quality processes and then leading team level quality initiatives to improve code and automated test coverage- Taking responsibility for meeting quality goals of multiple development branches.What you’ll bring:- At minimum, Bachelor’s in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent field- 1 or more years of professional experience for testing software. QA background and Skills- Understanding of QA processes- Ability to take design documents and create detailed functional test cases- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to capture integration and system test requirements Linux Background and Skills- Some working knowledge of the Linux user space and kernel testing.- Familiarity with multiple Linux distros, e.g. CentOS, Red Hat, Rocky.- Some understanding of Linux sub-systems Automation Background and Skills- Ability to create automated test cases- Python programming to create test case scripts and associated libraries within an existing framework.- Exposure to C, Java, Selenium a plus. General Knowledge- Familiarity with Linux in a hyperconverged infrastructure or virtualization space would be a plus, e.g. kvm, VMware ESXi, etc#LI-SP4#LI-Hybrid —
