Software Developer for Advanced Security Operations

This role involves working closely with analysts and operators to develop software solutions that address critical challenges in cybersecurity and intelligence operations, supporting national security decisions through robust data analysis and tool development.

Responsibilities

• Develop data transformations for various data types including text, JSON, databases, XML, configurations, etc.
• Gather feature requests and new application requirements to understand project and customer needs
• Analyze unknown datasets to assist analysts in formulating the right questions and insights
• Enhance the performance of applications and transformations to enable better data comprehension
• Maintain and support mission-critical servers for advanced security operations, functioning as both a developer and sysadmin when necessary

Required Skills

• Strong experience with Python
• Knowledge of dataframes (pandas, polars)
• Proficiency in SQL and various database systems (SQLite, Postgress, MySQL)
• Familiarity with git and GitLab for source control
• Comfortable with TypeScript/JavaScript and a modern frontend framework like React
• Ability to work directly with customers and provide immediate feedback

Nice To Have

• AWS certifications
• DevOps CI/CD experience
• Experience in agency data processing and storage
• Background in developing AI agents
• Experience in offensive security operations

Experience Required: 8 years with Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or 12 years without degree

Location: Columbia, MD

Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph required

Salary Range: $148,000 – $177,000
