Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 2–5 years
About the Company:
DDE ULTRA is a pioneering provider of ultra-high purity process utility systems serving the semiconductor, PV Solar, and other high-tech industries. With a strong legacy in turnkey solutions, we specialize in designing, manufacturing, and installing complex utility systems.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Process Chemical Engineer with 2–5 years of experience to support process design and engineering for ultra-high-purity utility systems. The role involves process calculations, preparation of engineering documents, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and technical support through project execution and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process schematics, and process design packages for ultra-high-purity utility systems.
- Perform process calculations, including mass and energy balances, fluid-flow and pressure-drop calculations, heat-transfer calculations, and preliminary equipment sizing.
- Prepare and review process design basis documents, process descriptions, equipment datasheets, line lists, instrument lists, and operating philosophy documents.
- Use process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD, or equivalent software, where applicable, to evaluate system performance and validate process assumptions.
- Support selection and sizing of process equipment such as pumps, compressors, filters, heat exchangers, and purification systems in coordination with senior engineers and other disciplines.
- Review client specifications, technical documents, and project inputs; identify gaps or deviations and coordinate clarifications with project and design teams.
- Coordinate with piping, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, project, and commissioning teams to ensure process requirements are reflected accurately in engineering deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions; incorporate comments and maintain accurate, revision-controlled engineering documentation.
- Support compliance with applicable project codes, standards, safety practices, and cleanroom requirements, including relevant SEMI, PED, AD2000, and ATEX requirements where applicable.
- Provide process engineering support during procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning, including resolution of process-related technical queries.
- Review process data and identify opportunities to improve system performance, safety, reliability, and design efficiency while meeting project schedules and quality requirements.
Technical Skills
- Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Mass and Energy Balances, Fluid Mechanics, Pressure-Drop and Heat-Transfer Calculations
- Process Equipment Sizing and Selection: Pumps, Compressors, Filters, Heat Exchangers, and Purification Systems
- Process Design Basis, Process Descriptions, Equipment Datasheets, Line Lists, and Instrument Lists
- Process simulation tools such as Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, or CHEMCAD
- Interpretation of technical specifications, engineering drawings, and client requirements
- Knowledge of high-purity gas, chemical, DI water, CDA, vacuum, or other process utility systems
- Understanding of relevant industry standards and safety requirements; SEMI, PED, AD2000, and ATEX exposure is an advantage
- Exposure to semiconductor, PV solar, cleanroom, or other high-tech utility projects will be an added advantage.
If you are GREAT in the above, not just good, then we need you in our Team.
