The Mechatronics & Sustainable Packaging Customer Experience (MSP CX) team is responsible for providing support to internal fulfillment and transportation network customers that rely on advanced robotics technology to fulfill and ship customer orders. In this role on the MSP CX team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the execution of Hardware Support processes and mechanisms (e.g. RCM, CAPA, Retrofits, Field Audits) to facilitate field hardware reliability and performance management. In this role you will also lead deep dives into product performance issues and/or systemic to understand the root cause of the issue and develop corrective/preventive actions for these. You are expected to work independently with a strong sense of ownership in a complex, fast-paced, and high-ambiguity environment where multi-tasking is required. Key job responsibilities – Develop, implement and lead the execution of multiple concurrent Continuous Improvement Programs (RCM (FMEA), CAPA, Retrofits, Support Cost Modeling). – Develop and implement mechanisms and standard work to resolve issues impacting the safety, reliability, and performance of advanced robotics systems. – Lead performance analyses to identify root cause of issues, and develop containment, mitigation and corrective action plans. – Manage projects of significant complexity, involving multiple internal and external stakeholders. – Develop and implement standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and feedback mechanisms for Hardware Support Engineering teams. – Develop metrics and proactive monitoring tools to measure the reliability and performance of advanced robotics systems as well as measure success of support mechanisms. – Build an effective working relationship with key stakeholders and engineering leaders supporting Amazon operations . – Identify, analyze and resolve mechanical and system issues across the MSP CX product suite. – Produce daily and weekly reports on the products in the MSP CX product suite. – Partner with leaders and engineers in the MSP organization to deliver new and innovative products to the customer fulfillment network. – Provide requirements and “voice of the customer” feedback to development and support teams. – Provide on-site support for new product implementation efforts . – Flexible locations across the US – Up to 75% travel expected We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Boston, MA, USA Dallas, TX, USA Edison, NJ, USA Sumner, WA, USA Basic Qualifications – 5+ years of technical product or program management experience – 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience – 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience – Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules – 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience – Experience in project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management – Up to 75% travel expected Preferred Qualifications – 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience – Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership – MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) – Experience managing new hardware implementation projects – Management and people leadership Experience – Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies such as FMEA and Equipment Strategy (ES) development through probabilistic reliability analysis to determine benefit to cost for risk mitigating decision making. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
