Gridiron IT Solutions
Clearance: Top Secret cleared
Location: Remote
Role Framing
Owns the human-in-the-loop surface of the GenAI IDP platform end to end: the React/Next.js UI and the backing API/BFF services that feed it. This is a streaming, stateful window into live agent execution supporting DCSA document processing workflows — not generic web development. The engineer owns the vertical slice from React component through the SSE event pipeline to the backend route that serves it — durable chat state, notification architecture, tool-call and artifact visualization, document classification results rendering, and trace exploration.
This role directly supports the GenAI IDP engagement milestones: building the user interface for document upload, classification review, field extraction validation, and user acceptance testing dashboards. The engineer integrates with Customer identity providers, monitoring tools, and deployment pipelines as defined in the Task Description.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Experience building production web applications with TypeScript and a modern React framework (React/Next.js)
Experience building and operating backend services or APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Node) that a frontend consumes
Experience with real-time or streaming interfaces (Server-Sent Events, WebSockets, or equivalent), including handling reconnection and out-of-order events
Experience with automated testing at the unit and end-to-end level (e.g., jest, Playwright) as part of the definition of done
Experience diagnosing defects across the stack — from a client-side symptom to the backend route or payload that caused it — using logs and traces as evidence
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building interfaces for AI/agentic or other long-running, streaming systems (token-by-token output, tool-call visualization, document classification result rendering, run/trace inspection)
Experience with GenAI/LLM integration: prompt engineering workflows, model evaluation dashboards, fine-tuning pipeline UIs
Experience deploying applications in AWS GovCloud or classified (IL5/IL6) environments
Experience integrating with DoD identity providers and CAC/PIV authentication
Experience with client and server state management and optimistic-update patterns
Proficiency using AI coding assistants as a daily driver, with the judgment to verify their output against tests and traces before merging
Experience with distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry) from the application side
Experience with AWS services: Amazon Bedrock, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CDK
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Program Qualification
Run an engineering practice driven by evaluation, testing, and verification — changes are proven with tests, traces, and metrics before they are called done
Operate agentic systems fluently (MCP tools, Bedrock/LLM calls, streaming, distributed traces) in support of GenAI IDP document classification and field extraction workflows
Work within DCSA classified environments (IL5/IL6) following DoD security baselines and STIG compliance requirements
Support the GenAI IDP solution: prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, evaluation logic for document section classification and extracted field validation
Use AI coding assistants heavily as daily drivers, while remaining skeptical of their output and holding it to the same evidentiary bar as any other code
