Role Description

This is a remote / hybrid role based on resource, located in San Francisco, CA, for a Machine Learning & Data Science AI Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and data-driven solutions. The engineer will research, implement, and optimize algorithms in fields like Natural Language Processing (NLP), pattern recognition, and neural networks. Additionally, the role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, contributing to software development, and solving real-world challenges using AI and data science.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Machine Learning & AI Expertise

* Strong foundation in mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and advanced machine learning techniques.

* Hands-on experience with deep learning architectures including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Transformer-based models.

* Proven experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, multi-armed bandits, and deep reinforcement learning.

* Ability to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models for real-world applications.

Programming & Technical Skills

* Proficiency in Python and SQL; working knowledge of Java is a plus.

* Extensive experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras.

* Experience building proof-of-concepts and experimenting with emerging AI/ML technologies.

MLOps & Distributed Systems

* Familiarity with MLOps practices including model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.

* Experience with containerization and distributed computing frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Data Science & Domain Experience

* Demonstrated experience in data science within life sciences, supply chain, or consulting environments.

* Strong expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and data-driven problem solving using Python and R.

* Experience supporting large-scale operational initiatives and translating data insights into business impact.

Leadership & Collaboration

* Proven ability to lead high-impact, cross-functional projects across domains such as life sciences, operations, and finance.

* Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

* Experience driving process optimization, improving decision-making, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
