Microsoft India Development Center (IDC) is hiring a Principal Software Engineer to architect and lead the core cloud and AI infrastructure systems in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Role Overview
As a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft, you will drive the architectural evolution of Azure distributed cloud services, high-throughput data platforms, and enterprise AI copilot integrations across global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and scale multi-tenant cloud services on Microsoft Azure with 99.999% reliability.
- Design high-throughput distributed systems utilizing C#, Go, Python, Azure Cosmos DB, and Kubernetes.
- Lead engineering best practices across microservices architecture, observability, and zero-trust security.
- Mentor senior engineers and collaborate closely with product management and AI research teams.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Experience: 8–14+ years in Software Architecture, Large-scale Distributed Systems, or Cloud Engineering.
- Core Languages: C#, Java, Go, C++, or Python.
- Platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP; Kubernetes, Docker, Distributed Storage.
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
